People Are Torn Over New Trend Where Moms Introduce Their One Night Stands To Their Children

There are times in a person's life when they'll go out for a night of fun and meet someone they click with. It may not be a "forever" kind of thing, but it happens to be good for that night.

One-night stands aren't uncommon in people's lives, but having a one-night stand that stays with you forever—well, that's totally different.

Some people love the casual side of a one night stand.

The ability to have a great time with someone and then never have to deal with them again is pretty appealing for some people, especially when they're young and single.

However, there are some one night stands that last forever.

And, by forever, I mean the kind of one-night stand that ends in pregnancy and leaves you with the memory and living human version of the memory for life.

Recently moms on TikTok are opening up about their babies to their lovers.

In an unconventional and controversial manner, the latest TikTok trend has moms telling their one-night stand in viral videos in which they tell their partners that they've had their baby.

All of the videos use the same refrain from "Fun Times" by Mia Overington.

A quick scan of the lyrics reveals why. The chorus begins with Mia singing "I'll never forget you" and the video clips always end in time with the lyric "always remember me."

The videos start with "to the guy I met..."

TikTok

The moms call out the guys that they have met all over the world and in various places, like this one mom who met "Luke" in Greece in 2019.

They then showcase their child.

TikTok

The moms show what they have "made" or what will keep the memory of their night alive forever.

Another mom showcased the guy she met fishing in upstate New York.

This mom didn't even give the man a name but posted a photograph from their fishing trip that they took together.

Only to tell him that he has a daughter.

The mom showcased her toddler by her side, on her hip, to tell this one-night stand that he has a daughter.

And then there were these two who found love at a music festival...

The video begins with these two canoodling in the crowd as they watch their favorite artists play underneath the stars.

This video is a perfect example of why you should never trust a man who wears a backward ballcap.

They'll only break your heart in the end.

You can't help but empathize with this video. I can't even begin to imagine being so exhausted that I couldn't even muster the strength to lift a bottle.

Although she may be on to something with this new face-feeding technique.

Another TikTok users began responding to the videos.

Some women said that it's "irresponsible" to tell someone that they have a child in this way.

Another TikTok user said, "imagine seeing your boyfriend of 3 years in one of these videos," and finding out that they have a child.

Other TikTok users felt that the moms were being "unfair."

Some commenters said, "imagine finding out you have a child like this through TikTok," while others said it was "not right" to do to their children, who might end up seeing these videos one day.

Some were quick to point out that the mothers may have had no other way to contact the fathers.

A one-night stand by definition only lasts for one night.

Typically, phone numbers and social media handles aren't exchanged, and sometimes you may not even know (or remember) the person's name.

Sure — finding out you had a child via TikTok wouldn't be ideal. But wouldn't it be better than never finding out at all?

What if seeing the video compelled the dads to reach out and make contact? Don't some of these guys deserve the benefit of the doubt?

Is it fair to hold them accountable if they never knew their child existed in the first place?

Some people have taken a different approach and have even begun spoofing the trend.

TikTok user mrsoliviamai decided to have a little fun and post some old high school photos. She captioned her video "To the hot Vietnamese guy who took me to senior prom."

The video ends with her "introducing" her son to her husband.

Despite the confusion in the comments, this video is most certainly a joke. First of all, her user name is mrsoliviamai — Mai is a popular Vietnamese surname.

And in case that isn't enough proof, she also uses the hashtag #joke.

The same goes for this young woman who was out to "find" her former flame.

As all the videos do, this one ends with TikTok user julia.ensign holding her son with the caption "you have a 3 month old[sic] son."

All of a sudden, the "hot girl" that Julia hooked up with walks out of the bedroom brushing her hair.
