Fans Are Feeling Less Than Golden After Learning Betty White Has Been Lonely During Quarantine

Betty White is undeniably one of the most iconic and influential celebrities of all time. It may have to do with the fact that she holds the World Record for the longest career in Hollywood. It might also have to do with the fact that everyone feels like her best friend.

So when I found out the Betty has reportedly been lonely during the pandemic, it dang near broke my heart!

As you may recall, fans were *very* worried about the 99-year-old actress at the beginning of the pandemic.

To be fair, can you really blame us? I would personally love to take on the role of Betty's personal security to make sure she is always safe.

Hmm... it would involve a lot of walking though, so maybe I should sign up my son...

Irregardless, I have made it my personal mission to keep you all updated on Betty's wellbeing.

Which, I feel I really can't be blamed for.

After all, this woman is not even a national treasure. She is the WORLD'S treasure. It's hard to not love her.

As you may recall, fans got an update on the actress in the days leading up to her 99th birthday back in January.

And in true Betty White fashion, it was so damn cute that it made everyone's hearts melt across the world.

"What am I doing for my birthday?"

"Running a mile each morning has been curtailed by COVID. So I am working on getting The Pet Set re-released," Betty explained to ET at the time.

"And feeding the two ducks who come to visit me every day," she added.

Isn't that the most wholesome thing you've ever heard in your life?

Oh, to be a simple duck that appears to Betty White every day. Talk about living large.

Now, Betty's rep Jeff Witjas is sharing how the 99-year-old is doing these days in a new update given to TMZ.

Apparently, Betty is filling her days by doing crossword puzzles, reading, and watching TV.

Jeff went on to say the pandemic has (of course) affected her ability to regularly visit with her friends face-to-face.

However, TMZ reports that Betty "still pens plenty of letters, makes phone calls, and has limited visits with friends and loved ones through the window of her home."

Despite being a champion of animals, Betty does not currently have any pets, which for some reason really breaks my heart!

But hey, at least she's spending time with the ducks.

I'm sorry, but that image will be sticking with me for a long time.

Hopefully, Betty will be able to return to doing work she loves soon — if she wants to!

After 60+ years in the business, I think we'd all understand if she'd like to take a break.
