Seth Rogen Looks Impossible To Recognize After Shaving Beard

Regardless of a movie or TV show's overall quality, you can generally bet that it has a small army of talented people working extremely hard to bring the director or producer's overall vision to life.

And when that production is aimed towards depicting real people, we can sometimes see this army working almost literal magic to capture the details of how those people would have looked and acted. It doesn't always work out but sometimes the resemblance can be almost eerie, as was the case with Charlize Theron's role in Monster or Jamie Foxx's portrayal of Ray Charles in Ray.

But whether an upcoming role for Seth Rogen has him looking like his subject or not, we can say with total confidence that he won't just be playing himself.

On May 8, Rogen posted an Instagram update that concerned his role in the upcoming miniseries *Pam & Tommy*.

In it, he said, "My co-stars @imsebastianstan and @lilyjamesofficial are a lot cooler than I am."

Although it's unclear what chapters in the tumultuous relationship between Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson will be included and which ones will be omitted, we know for a fact that it will touch on the release of their infamous sex tape.

And we know this because Rogen is set to play Rand Gauthier, the man responsible for leaking it.

According to Rolling Stone, Gauthier is an electrician who was hired as part of a crew to remodel the then-couple's house.

However, this crew was suddenly fired and Gauthier was stiffed for about $20,000 worth of work.

And although he was ready to write that expense off, his attitude changed when Lee chased him and his fellow workers off his property with a shotgun when they came back to collect their tools.

This led him to steal a safe that would soon be discovered to hold the tape.

Amanda Chicago Lewis of *Rolling Stone* described Gauthier's voice as "equal parts surfer and Ernie from *Sesame Street*," which likely had a lot to do with Rogen's casting.

However, it's clear that the man doesn't look like Rogen from the fact that the actor now looks like a completely different person in order to play him.

The mullet is clearly part of it but it's Rogen's decision to shave his trademark beard that seems to be the real kicker here.

And while he had some similarly clean-shaven roles in the late 2000s, the shape of his face seems significantly different this time around.

Honestly, if you had seen the man in this photo out of context, would you have ever guessed who it was?
