'Bachelor In Paradise' Star Astrid Loch Expecting 1st Child Through IVF: 'It's The Toughest Thing'

The Bachelor franchise may be known for its drama, tears, and broken hearts.

But it's also been the start of some amazing couples that we 'ship today. Some have even gotten married and started their own families!

The latest Bachelor Nation couple to do so is Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch who recently announced they're expecting their first child together!

By doing so, Loch also got candid about their infertility struggles.

There have been many adorable families to emerge from the *Bachelor* franchise over the years.

Season 17 bachelor Sean Lowe has welcomed three children with his wife, Catherine, whom he married in January 2014.

They had their first bundle of joy, Samuel Thomas, in July of 2016.

Isaiah Hendrix, a baby brother, followed this in May 2018.

The family then got their wish of a little girl named Mia in December in 2020.

Given Sean's hilarious dad jokes, it's been hilarious to see what he posts on social media of his family.

Another Bachelor couple to get married and start a family together is Jade and Tanner Tolbert.

The pair met on the second season of Bachelor in Paradise and got married in 2016.

They welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Emerson Avery, on Aug. 17, 2017.

They've welcomed two more kiddos since then: Brooks Easton and Reed Harrison.

In the words of Bachelor host, Chris Harrison, the pair had the "most dramatic" birth ever with their child Brooks.

That's because Jade accidentally gave birth to their son in a closet! “It was wild,” Jade told People about the whirlwind experience.

They're not the only *Bachelor in Paradise* couple to have kids.

In addition to the former couple, Carly and Evan Bass who share two children, Kevin Wendt and Astrid Loch recently announced that they're expecting!

Fans of Bachelor in Paradise will know that the pair met on the show's fifth season.

While they split during the show, they ended up reconnecting afterward.

Astrid then moved to Canada to be with the firefighter.

In August 2019, they announced their engagement. “You’ll never walk alone again. From here on out, we run together. Astrid you are my family, babe. Forever," Kevin wrote on Instagram.

Now, the latest big news in their relationship is their pregnancy announcement!

“A dream come true,” Loch captioned an Instagram photo of herself and Wendt with their ultrasound pics on Mother's Day.

“One of the first conversations @kevin.c.wendt and I had was about how we both loved kids and couldn’t wait to have our own," she continued.

"When I think about Kev holding our little angel for the first time my heart flutters. Even in my wildest dreams I couldn’t have imagined how amazing this would all feel.”

She then got candid about their infertility struggles.

“To all the couples trying to get pregnant, my heart is with you," she wrote.

“We know first hand how hard it can be to see these kinds of posts and feel sad & discouraged."

She continued: "We too struggled with fertility and conceiving naturally."

She went on to call it the "toughest thing we’ve ever been through."

She then said that she will share more about their journey.

"But today is finally about some good news & we hope you can enjoy it with us. #babywendt #ivf #infertility #infertilityawareness," she concluded the post.

Since sharing their big news, Bachelor Nation has been buzzing with excitement.

"Amazing!!! So happy for you two!!!" wrote former Bachelor Arie Luyendyk.

"Congrats you two!" added former Bachelorette, Becca Koof.

Kevin himself even commented: "You’re going to be the best damn mom!!" with several hearts.

We could not be happier for this couple! Congrats, guys!
