Crochet A Life-Size Baby Dragon With A Magical Pattern From Etsy

It's time to live out your (or your kid's) How to Train Your Dragon fantasy.

An Etsy shop has a pretty crazy dragon pattern available, and trust me when I say this might be the crochet challenge of a lifetime. Why? Oh, because the dragon is a little life-size.

Well, maybe it's the equivalent of a BABY dragon.

But still! This thing is way bigger than any crochet project I've ever seen, and yes, I am including blankets in that!

Called "Kiefer," this dragon was created by OvertonFancies on Etsy.

It's pretty huge for a crochet project.

It's over four feet in length with a wingspan over five feet, and its height is just over a foot tall. So yeah, I would classify it as huge, wouldn't you? OvertonFancies calls it the "project of projects," and it's easy to see why.

It has a LOT of detail.

"The details are varied from muscle bulges and knuckles to actual eyeballs in his sockets," the description says.

Don't be too intimidated, however! "I tried to reduce the number of small pieces that needed to be applied by making them one unit."

The pattern is available on Etsy.

You can get the full pattern and instructions from OvertonFancies for $12.99. The question now is: What color is your dragon going to be? (Mine would be pink and black, in case you were wondering.)
