Teen Works 10-Minute Shift At Wendy's So He Can Get Free Food

Arriving at a restaurant and ordering food only to discover I don't have my wallet with me is a fear that keeps me up at night. My sensitive heart couldn't take the embarrassment and shame.

Thanks to a group of friends and a certain Tiktok post, there might just be a backup plan should this ever happen. If you can't afford it, maybe you can work for it, right there, on the spot.

Get a group of friends together for long enough and eventually they'll concoct a ridiculous idea that just needs to be tried.

That's what happened to Tiktok user nickeldr and his friends, namely his friend Cody. In a post that's already racked up over two million views, it shows Cody working behind the counter of a Wendy's with no uniform with on-screen text that reads, "He asked to work 10 minutes for free food [...]."

Many people took the video a little more seriously than intended, forgetting it was clearly his friends recording him.

Or they were just trying to exercise a little empathy, with some comments reading, "The fact y'all are recording him like he's a lab animal, while he's literally just trying to survive [...]," and, "[It's] sad that people are recording others down on [their] luck for some likes."

But there were also plenty who saw the humor in it and thought it was amazing.

Some joked about the concept being relatable, with others taking it further saying they were going to try it themselves. One person claiming to be a Wendy's manager commented saying they'd allow it if it ever happened at their store too!

Just like the caption of the video reads, it really is crazy what you can ask for.

A fun little experiment turned into a free meal and a laugh for the group of friends. I would say probably don't try this at your local Wendy's, but who knows, maybe they'd like the help.
