Camping Crocs Combine Our Favorite Clogs With Survival Gear

Despite the way many of us detest Crocs, they aren't going anywhere anytime soon. In fact, it even looks like they're evolving.

Or at the very least, the iconic shoes are being reimagined in some pretty interesting ways. If you love to camp, and you love Crocs, then these may be the perfect footwear for you.

Introducing the Campsite Classic Clog.

In October 2020, these bad boys were unveiled, Oddity Mall reports.

Because what would make a Croc better? They already make great boat shoes, gardening gear, house slippers, and bold fashion choices. So, why not go that extra mile and use them for camping, too? With a pair like these, that's actually possible.

These shoes are a collaboration piece.

Croc collaborated with Nicole McLaughlin, a New York-based artist and designer, in order to make these camping clogs. McLaughlin is pretty well known for making clothing and accessories using unconventional materials, so this absolutely makes sense in that regard.

They... certainly look like Crocs.

The shoe itself is a pretty interesting take on the classic Croc. They have waterproof sleeves that reach just above the ankle, making them perfect for those times you may run into a rainstorm or a patch of mud.

The sleeves can also detach if you'd rather use them in "sport" mode. And that's not to mention the roster of attachments they come with.

They actually do so much.

There are plenty of jibbitz (the little charms and attachments that fit onto Crocs, in case you didn't know) to put on the Campsite Classic Clog. They turn these shoes from a mere fashion statement, to actual utility items.

Surprisingly enough, they would actually be really handy to have around during a hike or camping trip.

The perfect survival shoe.

One side has a little flashlight you can turn on, while the other can clip a small compass. There's also a small strap to attach a bit of rope (you never know when you may need rope), and even a tiny pouch to store really small things, like your compass jibbitz.

A shoe you could actually own.

And yes, these things were on sale at one point. The collaboration was being sold on the Project Greenhouse app and the End store. As of now, though, they seem to be unavailable everywhere.

They must have been loved by many.

Considering the amount of people out there who love Crocs despite mainstream protest, it's unsurprising that these shoes sold out quickly. Unfortunately, if you're a Croc enthusiast, it means you may not be able to score a pair (unless you have already).

These shoes don't look like they're coming back in stock any time soon. But at least they're fun to look at from afar.
