The Internet Is Rocked After Viral Video Shows We've Been Making Kraft Mac & Cheese Wrong

There's nothing worse than realizing you've been doing something wrong for a long period of time. It's like when I learned I had been pouring cooking oil all wrong, or that I had never really properly washed my wooden spoons.

Now I, along with many others on the internet, are being rocked yet again after learning we've been making Kraft Mac & Cheese wrong for EVER!

For better or worse, I am a rule follower.

If the instructions tell me to boil the water for seven minutes, drain the water and then add the cheese sauce — that's how I'm doing it. I don't feel the need to get fancy or change it up.

If you're anything like me, you may want to brace yourself.

In a viral TikTok video, mom Nikki Gillespie showed her followers that they've been making Kraft Mac & Cheese wrong this whole time.

While we've all lived in a world where the boiled water and the cheese powder exist seperately, Nikki is insisting they go together like wop ba-ba lu-bop and wop bam boom!

In her viral video, Nikki shows herself adding the powdered cheese sauce TO THE BOILING WATER!

That's right! Instead of boiling the noodles in just plain old tap water, Nikki takes the cheese packets and mixes them in to allow the cheesy flavor to penetrate and cook with the noodles.

The result? An extra cheesy, ONE POT MEAL!

Since you don't have to dirty a separate pan to boil the noodles, you're saving time, water, and energy! Plus, the natural starch for the noodles makes them extra creamy and decadent.

Speaking of decadent, Nikki adds whipping cream instead of milk *and* adds a few handfuls of shredded cheese in at the end.

The result? The best pot of mac & cheese you've ever seen in your LIFE!

I will totally be trying this new method out the next time I bust open a box of Kraft dinner — what about you?
