Teacher's Clever Stamp Hack Gets Kids To Wash Their Hands At School

When you're a kindergarten teacher, you're responsible for teaching your kids all kinds of things. After all, they spend most of the day with you.

So it's cool to see that some teachers really do think outside the box when it comes to kids' hygiene. This one came up with a cool idea I thought I would share with all of you.

Teaching kindergarten can't be easy.

I know that's something I would never do. Honestly, I don't have the patience to run after a bunch of little kids ha, ha! So my respect goes out to all the teachers that do.

What I also appreciate is when teachers come up with clever ideas to teach kids about hygiene.

That's exactly what this one teacher did and shared her video on TikTok. Let me explain it to you. It's super easy, really.

Callie Lewter came up with a clever idea to encourage her kindergarten students to wash their hands.

She gives them a stamp on their hand in the morning and checks on it at the end of the day. If the stamp is almost gone, they get a prize.

Isn't that so neat?

Such a simple idea that even small kids can understand. She picked up these cute stamps with different colors and uses them every day. They even have adorable animals on them too, so the kids really like them.

I bet the kiddos are very excited to get a small prize after their long productive day.

I think this definitely encourages them to wash their hands more often. And it's really cool to see this teacher putting this idea forward.

As it turns out, she's not the only one who does this.

There are other teachers who heard of this idea, and they've been doing it in their classes. Has your kids' teacher come up with something like this?

After Callie posted about this on her TikTok, many parents started commenting.

Most of them seem to like this idea. I mean, why not? It's pretty cute, and it works. Anything that gets the kids to wash their hands more often is A-OK in my book.

However, some did question the accuracy of this idea.

After all, it is possible for the kids to just rub the stamp off without washing their hands, no? Well, that's if they're as clever as that, ha, ha! I hope her kids wouldn't do that.

So do you think this is a good idea to encourage young kids to wash their hands more?

Or do you think it won't work? I have to say there's no harm in trying this. The kids might actually pleasantly surprise us.
