All-Female Auto Shop Is Empowering Women To Learn About Fixing Cars

Ladies, let me ask you a question: do you often leave a mechanic's shop full of frustrations? I mean, after all it's a man's world when it comes to vehicle servicing, and I think most ladies feel a bit left out in that area.

So, a new auto clinic opened up to help ladies with their car troubles in a unique way, and I'm all for that.

Girls Auto Clinic in Philadelphia is a unique one-stop-shop to get your car serviced.

And as you might have guessed, it's geared towards the ladies. Why? It's because women often get second-grade treatment when they visit traditional auto shops.

The shop was founded by an engineer and mechanic Patrice Banks.

She was frustrated by the mistreatment female customers often face when dealing with male mechanics. So, she wanted to offer fellow ladies a stress-free space to get their cars serviced.

The team at the shop is also happy to teach women more about their vehicles and how to take care of them.

The shop encourages women to become #sheCANics, a hashtag Banks often uses to describe herself. Wow, that's so cool.

Not only that, but now the shop has something else to make women feel good about themselves.

They recently added a Clutch Beauty Bar, which provides a range of salon services while you wait for your car. OMG, can we all say, "wow" to that idea?!

I mean, how amazing is that?

Clutch offers things such as manicures, pedicures, and blowouts while the ladies wait for the mechanics to finish working on their car. Now, not only will your car look good but so will you, ha, ha!

Patrice really wants to change the relationship women have with the automotive industry.

Her overall goal is for the women visiting her shop to feel relaxed about their whole experience. I don't know about you, but I say, "amen" to that. I mean, how empowering is that?

As a woman myself, I have to admit I feel intimidated about car stuff.

I don't know all the parts and where they go. So I would love to visit a female-run auto shop like this one to get educated about auto vehicles.

That would make it so much easier for me, and I'm sure for many other ladies out there.

This awesome shop runs workshops where they teach ladies about their cars, the services needed and how to perform general maintenance on them.

I think this female-run auto shop is such a great idea.

Honestly, if there were one in my area, I would go there in a heartbeat. And if I could get my hair and nails done while I wait, even better. What do you think about this concept here?
