Teens Wear Matching School Outfits To Show Off Sexist Double-Standards

Two TikTokers have been making quite the statement about double-standards when it comes to school uniforms with a recent video uploaded to social media.

The video exposing school uniform dress codes' inherent sexism has garnered a tonne of traction online, with many people calling for change to school uniform regulations.

Discussions over dress codes are by no means a new issue.

No matter where you are from, dress codes in schools always cause something of a stir. So, TikTokers Drew Jarding and Kenzie Crimmins took it upon themselves to try and show off just how unfair school dress codes are towards female students.

The pair wore matching outfits to their school in Illinois and documented their day.

In the TikTok video uploaded to Drew's channel, Kenzie can be seen to be wearing a crop top and leggings while Drew is sporting a crop top and shorts.

Drew is actually more showing more skin in the video. And, in an interview with BuzzFeed, Drew explained that the reason for his outfit being more revealing was so "[the pair] could show how biased [dress codes] really are."

The pair got through most of the day without issue.

In the now-viral video, the pair can be seen attending class as normal and even briefly dancing in front of some teachers in their matching outfits.

However, when seventh period came around, the double standards were firmly exposed.

Kenzie was written up, while Drew got not even so much as a warning.

Kenzie was apparently officially written up for showing too much of her stomach. And, although Drew is quite clearly showing more skin, he escaped any of the teachers' wrath!

Some of the reactions to the bizarre video included people writing the likes of:

"I'm pretty sure she can sue the school for discrimination."

"I'm telling yall, this is gonna be the LAST year for dress codes...they are [ridiculous.]"

"BRO AND YOU WERE THE MOST REVEALING".

So, it appears that the pair quite successfully showed the sexist nature of dress codes.

Drew has actually uploaded a short series of videos trying to expose the inherent sexism in their school's dress code — and in dress codes as a whole. However, this is perhaps the most stark example of such double-standards!
