Woman Goes Viral For Method Of Reheating Rice Quickly And Perfectly In Microwave

As the internet continues to try and slake its unslakable thirst for quicker and more effective ways to prepare food dishes that we know and love, one TikToker recently shared an eye-opening way to reheat rice in the microwave.

The video saw her effortlessly preparing a meal of microwaved salmon, rice, and a plethora of sauces.

One question that a lot of people often ask is, "Can you reheat rice?"

The reason that people can be wary of reheating rice is that it can cause quite serious issues if not done correctly.

One of the main things that you need to bear in mind is that the rice needs to be piping hot all the way through, otherwise you could risk getting food poisoning.

TikToker Emily Mariko recently sent the internet into a frenzy when she showcased her intriguing way of reheating rice.

Emily's video showed her preparing a meal of leftover rice, salmon, avocado, seaweed, sriracha, mayonnaise and soy sauce, all mixed together.

That amazing sounding meal aside, when Emily prepared her rice to put in the microwave, she placed an ice cube into the rice.

The ice cube creates steam when placed in the microwave which heats the rice better and makes it stickier.

Emily also covers her plate of rice with baking paper before placing it in the microwave.

Once she takes the rice out of the microwave, Emily then removes the ice cube, which had people's brains melting across the planes of the internet.

The explanation behind why this trick works is quite simple...if you're into science.

One very helpful individual in the comments explained: "Microwaves vibrate the water molecules inside food to produce heat. Since the water molecules inside ice are locked in place, they can't move."

Emily's video has had people baffled and amazed enough to rack up over two and a half million views on TikTok.

If you're looking to reheat rice the best way, ice may be your best bet!

It should also be pointed out that most health professionals recommend that you only reheat rice once after it has been cooked. However, when reheating it we now know how to get it piping hot throughout and sticky as all hell!
