Believe It Or Not, A Bride Demoted Her Maid Of Honor For Being 'Too Fat'

Nothing says "I don't" faster than a bad bridezilla.

Unfortunately, there are millions running rampant around the world as we speak. Like this bride who forced her bridesmaid to dye her hair since she wanted to be the only blonde.

Or this bride who demoted her maid of honor for being "too fat." Ugh.

Learn more about this travesty here.

The now-viral video was shared by TikToker Lia, or @liainlouisiana.

In it, she's eating a sandwich from Chick-fil-A as the sound “It’s like a reward” plays.

The text exchange between her and her cousin, Alejandra (the bride) is featured as a green screen in the background of Lia.

The text exchange starts with the bride telling Lia, “You know the bridesmaid group is not a therapy group."

Lia writes back, "Are you embarrassed?" This is where the bride and Lia's cousin admits to demoting her from maid of honor for being "too fat."

“Of what … of telling you to go on a diet .. no … it’s my wedding,” Alejandra said, according to the screenshot of the texts.

“You don’t have any control of yourself to go on a diet,” she said. “I like people with discipline … You are still a bridesmaid."

The bride then said she was going to sleep and Lia said, "good night love you."

The ones who didn't "love" the bride's messages were the thousands of people who commented. "You legit said. Goodnight love you. Like she didn't just put you down and not give AF. Girl. Respect. Yourself," one wrote.

In another comment thread, Lia provided an explanation for why she accepted her cousin's rude comments.

"She barely eats so I feel like she projects her ED on others? She's not going to change so I ignore the fat shaming & accept her as she is," she wrote.

When someone said, "please don't serve in her wedding," Lia replied, "She's like my sister I'd regret not doing it even when she's like this."

Well, that choice ended up being made for her, as Lia explained in a follow-up video that she was uninvited from the wedding.

She said that her cousin found out about the viral TikTok video and kicked her out.

"I'm really upset about this our trauma bond runs deep," Lia captioned the video. "I have cried all afternoon," she said. "I'm returning my bridesmaid dress on Monday and that's that."

In the comment section, Lia explained what led to her dismissal from the wedding.

"Yeah, I told her about it because it was kind of blowing up and she said I was uninvited then tried to make it seem like it was my choice I wasn't going," she wrote.

While Lia was upset, many were relieved to hear the news that she wouldn't be attending the wedding.

"Good. Save your \(and do somethning nice for yourself with the\) instead," one user commented. Another poked fun at the bride's wedding. "Marriage ain't gonna last no way may as well skip it," thhey wrote with several laughing emojis.

Many assured Lia that she did nothing wrong.

"You deserve to be treated with respect and that was a toxic situation," this user commented.

"Good!" another wrote. "You deserve better! You're beautiful & someday someone is going to be honored to have you in their wedding!"

"This is EXACTLY the follow up I needed to see. I'm proud of you and you deserve the absolute best," a third added.

Many users also shared their own stories of families treating them badly and learning to stick up for themselves.
