Myers captioned the story of her worst date "I haven't been to a @tacobell since," which can probably give you a bit of a heads up where this rollercoaster of emotion is heading.
Myers starts by clarifying that this took place before she met her now-husband, and it's not a shock that she didn't end up marrying the guy from this tale.
"This man messages me out of the blue and he goes, 'I like your face, let's go get some food [...] I will drive us to the restaurant together,' she started by explaining.
"I drove 45 minutes to his house. He's standing outside of that. He walks up to my car and he goes, 'I've lost my keys. Can you drive us there?' Should I have just left him right there and gone home? Yes. Did I? Absolutely not."
"We end up at a Taco Bell, which is fine. I'm, like, 'Dine or drive-thru?' and he's, like, 'Drive-thru'," Myers recounts, before dropping the bombshell:
"We get to the speaker and he just leans over and goes, 'I would like 100 hardshell tacos. Thank you'."
The fact that she actually paid blew my mind, but let's park that for the moment.
The guy then tells her to drive back to his house, with the hundred tacos, which she does! When they get there, his dad is sat on the couch, so the guy takes her into the kitchen, pulls two chairs up to the kitchen table, tips the bag of tacos out, then shouts, "LET'S FEAST!"
"The dad walks up, grabs a taco — there's 100 of them we have so many to spare," she explains. "He's eating over us, just standing, doesn't sit, stands right next to the table, crunches mouthfuls [...] He just looks at me and he goes, 'Do you want to see my studio?'"
Out of fear of being murdered, Myers then left the house — after boxing up all of her remaining tacos! I cannot say that I would have been keen to hang around, but she paid for those tacos!
And it is easy to see why the video (which you can watch below) has become such a smash hit. How often do you end up being lulled into purchasing 100 tacos as a part of a date? I will admit that I feel a bit better about the daft things I have said and/or done on previous dates now.
One question that a lot of people had was "What did you talk about while you waited [for the tacos]." The absolutely amazing answer was "his ex girlfriend."
