Andie Macdowell, 63, Says She's 'Never Felt More Beautiful' Than She Does Now

Aging is something that happens to us all, eventually. Thankfully, we've moved into a time where women, and men, are becoming more and more comfortable embracing their hair turning gray and their skin wrinkling — it's just a part of life!

Growing old is a blessing, and one that Andie Macdowell thinks has made her the most beautiful she's ever been!

Andie MacDowell is one of the most iconic faces in Hollywood.

From Four Weddings and a Funeral to Sex, Lies, and Videotape, to Magic Mike XXL, Andie has had a fruitful and successful career in Hollywood for over 30 years.

In an interview for NPR's Fresh Air, the 63-year-old recalled having people ask her how she felt about turning 40 as a woman in Hollywood, implying that she would struggle to find work again.

"I had the craziest things said to me when I turned 40," Andie said about a journalist who once asked her how it felt to get older and lose her beauty.

"I just couldn't believe it," she said. "I told her I really don't feel like I'm losing my beauty, it's just a different kind of beauty."

"We evolve and we age, and this is part of the process." She then went on to point out the insanely sexiest double standard about older men in Hollywood — who essentially get praised just for letting their natural hair color come in.

"Aging is not about losing your beauty."

As for her silver locks, Andie admits she's totally "in love" with them!

"My hair started going silver during COVID, and my daughters were staying next door to me ... so they saw me all the time and they would say to me, 'You look badass and you've got to keep this,'" she recalled.

"I have to say, I've never felt more beautiful. I'm not saying that everybody has to go do this ... but it suits me," she said.

It absolutely does suit her, and I love the confidence! I wish all women in their sixties felt as radiant as Andie does and hey, maybe if more women in Hollywood take a stand against these sexiest comments, they will!
