Robin Williams Ensured Every Company He Worked For Employed Homeless People

When it comes to celebrity deaths that stick with us, it's easy to say Robin Williams is someone fans will miss forever. His style of comedy was one of a kind, and his heart was even more notorious.

Despite his death in 2014, it seems like people are always learning something new about the beloved actor, like how he insisted on hiring those in need of a job on his movie sets.

As a celebrity, riders are as common as adoring fans and million dollar deals.

Normally, riders include specific food or drink items. Or, in the case of Madonna, your rider can include a new toilet seat at every venue — allegedly.

However, for Robin Williams, his requests included something a little more heartfelt.

Booking agent Brian Lord once shared that he was taken aback after seeing Robin's rider.

"When I got Robin Williams' rider, I was very surprised by what I found," he wrote, as per Upworthy.

"He actually had a requirement that, for every single event or film he did, the company hiring him also had to hire a certain number of homeless people and put them to work."

"I never watched a Robin Williams movie the same way after that," he added.

"I'm sure that on his own time and with his own money, he was working with these people in need, but he'd also decided to use his clout as an entertainer to make sure that production companies and event planners also learned the value of giving people a chance to work their way back."

It's such a great reminder to always be kind to one another — it's what Robin would have wanted.
