TikToker Pranks Server By Trying To Cancel Their Dinner Order

Newsflash: Being a server is really hard work. Despite being perpetually underpaid and underappreciated, being a waiter is no easy gig. If you've worked in the service industry, you know how it goes, and if you've never worked in the service industry, then you have no idea what that pressure feels like.

However, no matter what your previous job history looks like, I'm sure we can all agree that pranking a server is never a good idea.

Having a great server is what makes a dining experience go from good to great.

We've all had so-so service that makes you think twice about returning to a restaurant, a great server will make a regular out of me!

With that being said, it's not always easy to deliver good server.

Working in a restaurant is incredibly stressful — I still have nightmare about forgetting a table's order and I've been out of the restaurant biz for years now!

Needless to say, when I go out to eat, I am always very gracious to my server because I know how hard it can be.

In the spirit of treating waiters well, a lot of people have had an issue with a video going viral on TikTok.

The video shows a family at Texas Roadhouse pranking their server Kevin by saying they don't want their food anymore after he brings it to the table.

"You know what, Kevin? I think we just gonna cancel everything because we’re kinda full off the bread," the woman in the video can be heard saying.

"You’re joking, right?” he asks, clearly looking stressed out.“You gotta be joking, right?"

The table starts laughing, much to Kevin's relief. "Y’all don’t know I have customers sometimes," he can be heard saying as the clip ended.

The video, which has over 20,000 likes, has sparked a debate online.

"Not even funny that is just wrong," wrote one user. "Never do that," echoed another.

"Serving is not easy. I know that panicked him," said another user.

However, not everyone thought the joke was in bad taste.

"Omg, these comments.. I'm a server and I think it's funny! They were joking," said one user, defending the poster.

"At the time they placed their orders, they got a feel of the waiters personality. They felt he would go with the joke. No harm done," said another.

I just hope Kevin got a good tip!
