Lisa Bonet Spoke About 'Uncertainty' A Month Before Split From Jason Momoa

Hollywood heartthrob and Jason Momoa and his beauty queen wife Lisa Bonet have called it quits after 16 years together. It has truly been the most unexpected news of 2022, and I for one am devestaed.

Following the news of the pair's split on Wednesday, fans have been deep diving into any clues we may have missed, and let me tell you, Lisa gave us a BIG ONE last month.

On Wednesday, actors Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet announced their split after 16 years together.

As fans know, the pair have two children together — daughter Lola, who was born in 2007, and Son Nakoa-Wolf, who was born the following year.

In a joint statement, the pair insisted they were moving forward with love.

"We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception....feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring," they began.

The pair explained that they were sharing the update on their relationship "not because we think it's newsworthy ~ But so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty."

They continued: "The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become..."

"Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life& our Children. Teaching our Children What's possible ~Living the Prayer May Love Prevail," they concluded.

If that's not the most heartfelt and respectful way to announce a divorce, I don't know what is!

The news of the pair's divorce came as a shock to fans. To be fair, these two lovebirds always seemed so happy together!

Now, fans are realizing Lisa dropped a hint at the uncertainty in her life last month while chatting with Marisa Tomei for Interview magazine on December 21st.

The interview felt honest and open, since Marisa and Lisa have been friends for so long.

They laughed about their breakfast routines, and what they think about being former vegetarians.

"I’ve eliminated more red meat. I think it got me through a lot, and put some strength in my step after having two children later in my years," the 54-year-old told her friend.

The conversation then shifted to the importance of laughter and embracing each day with as much joy as you can.

"That’s the pursuit, isn’t it? Allowing for joy. I think so much of youth is driven by ambition, but now it really feels different."

When asked what her "calling" in life was these days, Lisa gave a very insightful response.

"Definitely learning how to be authentically me, learning to be new, and following this invitation from the universe to step into this river of uncertainty,” she said.

"We’ve eliminated all this extra noise, and now it’s time to grow our roots deeper into our own values."

The pair went on to reflect on the importance of dlowing down and being with your own thoughts and allowing yourself time to process life.

"I think that’s a lot of what we’re shaking off, because it’s what we’ve been indoctrinated in, it’s how our culture defines worth," Lisa added.

"Our worth is based on how much is scheduled on your calendar."

Lisa concluded her interview with Marisa saying: "Well, honeybee. What a rich, delicious conversation. We shall dance on into 2022."

It's clear the decision for Lisa and Jason to split has been made with love and care in regards to themselves and their children.

We're wishing this sweet family all the best!
