6+ Times Ashley Graham Fired Back At The Haters And Body Shamers

Queen Ashley has no time for anyone's nonsense, especially when it comes to her body.

Whether it's people commenting on how she looks, or others trying to dictate how she lives her life, she is not here for any of it.

Not only is she not having their comments, but she's sassy af. Let's check out her best hits.

That time she showed off her cellulite.

Okay, she's done that a few times.

There's nothing to be ashamed of when it comes to cellulite, considering most of the world's population has it!

She happily showed off her amazing legs in a swimsuit while shooting a new swimsuit campaign.

However, the comments rubbed her the wrong way.

Some people commented about her being a "real" woman, which she wasn't feeling. She took to her Instagram story:

"I can’t stand it when I read comments that say ‘finally, a real woman.’ No matter what your size/shape/amount of cellulite—we are in this together."

Every woman is a real woman!

That time she turned a backhanded compliment into a lesson.

A man told her she made fat "look cool." Ashley smoothly laid her thoughts out to Glamour:

"The teachable moment there is that I am not making anything cool except for confidence and people feeling great about themselves."

That time she popped off about working out.

What the hell kind of question is "we thought you work out"?! And who wants to join me in screaming?

Ashley replied, "Girls with cellulite and rolls can't work out also?" Which is way nicer than I would have been, tbh.

That time she clarified WHY she works out.

You know, because working out is only to be thin, right?

Nah.

Exercise is for everyone, and everyone has a different reason to do it. Ashley listed all of hers, and gee, look! Being "thin" isn't one of them.

Queen.

That time she wasn't pregnant.

At the time, she wasn't!

A person commented that she looked pregnant, to which she replied: "that's just called fat."

There are a hundred reasons to never assume someone is pregnant, and getting roasted for being wrong is one of them.

That time she stood up for all models.

In a video, Ashley outlined what makes a "real" model.

"Your weight, your skin, your hair, your religious background, none of that determines whether you’re a real model or not."

She made the video in response to an account that was dedicated to pointing out Ashley wasn't a "real" model because she wasn't "thin."

That time she spoke the truth.

A commenter told Ashley that her iconic and untouchable (I'm biased) Sports Illustrated cover ruined the magazine.

Ashley said, "Well, the way I see it, I made it better — forever."

She sure did.

That time she had to take on double standards.

Remember when she was accused of working out? She just can't win, because someone else accused her of working out too much.

"You still need your fat to be a model," they said.

She has her own reasons for working out.

Which she had to define yet again.

She said, "I workout. I do my best to eat well. I love the skin I'm in. And I'm not ashamed of a few lumps, bumps or cellulite.. and you shouldn't be either."

That time she had to clarify that she's not "too skinny."

After she posted a photo of herself looking fabulous, people accused her of being too thin. (Again.)

She said, "To some I'm too curvy. To others I'm too tall, too busty, too loud, and, now, too small — too much, but at the same time not enough."

This is genuinely how exhausting it is to be a woman, y'all.

She continued, "When I post a photo from a 'good angle,' I receive criticism for looking smaller and selling out. When I post photos showing my cellulite, stretch marks, and rolls, I'm accused of promoting obesity.

The cycle of body-shaming needs to end. I'm over it."

That baffling moment she had to justify being pregnant.

Ashley announced she was pregnant on Instagram. Her happiness was palpable, and the comments were full of congratulations and support for her.

And nothing else! So no worries, let's just move along.

Nah, can you imagine? That would be an amazing world to live in, though.

Anyway, someone decided to run their mouth.

"I can tell sis probably struggled to have this baby..." they wrote.

Okay, first of all...what? Who just assumes they know anything about someone else's fertility journey? That's such a weird thing to do.

Ashley was way nicer than she had to be.

"Saw your other 'pressed AF' comment. Not sure why you are commenting or following if you are just going to hate," she wrote back. "Love you sis and hope you find some peace & positivity [heart emoji.]"
