Jennifer Lopez Got Hilariously Honest About Wearing A G-string In 'Hustlers' Movie
In a recent interview with Variety, Jenner Lopez discussed her recent engagement to Alex Rodriguez, sexism in Hollywood, and what it was like having to wear a G-string in "Hustlers".
Hustlers is set to be released in the US on September 7th, btw.

Hustlers is about about a circle of former strippers that band together to essentially bamboozle the fat cats of Wall Street out of their money.
It stars Jennifer Lopez — of course, Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Cardi B and Lizzo.

It's truly refreshing to see such a female-dominated cast, amirite?
Anyways, back to J-Lo's interview.
She began by gushing over her fiancé, Alex Rodriguez. “He loves being at every show that he can be at. I go to all his baseball games," she said.
"There were times in my life when my career was going great, and my personal life was going OK," she said.

"And there were times my personal life was stable but my career was not great."
“This is the first time where I have a really beautiful alignment between the two."

"I think Alex brought that for me. I love it. We have a beautiful life.”
From there, J-Lo transitioned to speaking about the evident sexism in Hollywood, and how important it is for women to progress in the industry.

“There are so many smart, talented women out there," she said.
"In front of and behind the camera — and I think we’re at a point where our voices are not stifled as much," she went on.

She revealed that she believes the #MeToo movement has made such an impact for women striving for gender equality.
“Because of the #MeToo movement, it’s ‘We are equal, and we want to be treated that way."

"We’ve been making our own opportunities, and as you prove your worth and value to people, they can’t put you in a box. You hustle it into happening, right?”
Speaking of "hustling", this brings us to the portion of the interview where Jen explains what it was like having to exhibit herself in a G-string in her upcoming film, "Hustlers".

“I was terrified. I felt exposed," she revealed.
"I was like, ‘I’ve never done anything like this. I’m going to be up there in [expletive] dental floss."
"'What is this? Who is this person?,'" she said. " And then you get up there, and you have to have a '[expletive] you' empowered attitude."
"You have to take your power back. You have to be so bold."

“It’s almost like when you say you’re a rock star, you have to be arrogant to go up there in front of all those people or you crumble," she explained.
"You realize it’s the same type of balls that it takes to do something like that. And these women have that."
"They are tough, hard, vulnerable and damaged. It’s a great character to play.”
Ultimately, J-Lo seems happy and empowered to have had the opportunity to have such a vital role in "Hustlers", G-string or not.
"It’s a great character to play," she concluded.
Props to J-Lo for feeling liberated enough to rock a G-string, shamelessly. You go, girl!
