Mom Shamed Online Over 'Inappropriate' Outfit Worn To Pick Her Kids Up From School

Every parent knows that the school drop-off and pick-up can be the most judgmental place on the planet. What kind of example does that set for your kids, huh?

No matter where you live, parents tend to be the biggest critics.

And I don't just mean of their own children.

While you're all there for the same reason — your kids — it seems that parents can be the worst towards each other.

Did we learn nothing from anti-bullying presentations in school?

You'd think parents would know not to bully each other and set a good example for their kids.

But sadly, even parents can participate in cyber-bullying online.

It's also become common for people to "mom-shame" mothers on social media.

It's been around for along time, but is exacerbated with the ability to hide behind a screen and remain anonymous.

There's always going to be people who think they know what's best.

And social media can create a mob mentality.

For some reason, people have decided it's totally acceptable to leave judgmental comments on moms' social media posts.

The stories of mom shaming that make it to the news usually involve celebrities like Kylie Jenner and Chrissy Teigen.

These comments critique everything from how they parent to how they dress.

For Kylie Jenner, it was her long nails that had people reeling.

Recently, model Bella Vrondos learned the hard way that parents can be cruel.

She was picking her kids up from school and decided to take a photo with them and post it online.

While it's easy to tell Bella to ignore those comments, it's a lot more difficult to actually do that.

The comments definitely got to Bella.

The model is no stranger to tight clothing and makeup.

Bella has over 19,000 followers on Instagram and frequently posts photos from shoots and modeling.

Bella also owns a fashion boutique and designs lingerie.

Clearly, fashion and her sense of style are big parts of her life. She's not afraid to flaunt her confidence online, and to many, this already may seem inappropriate for a mother of three.

To many, this already may seem inappropriate for a mother of three.

However, wearing a body-con dress to pick up her kids got a lot of hate.

In the now-deleted photo, Bella is wearing a tight, beige dress that showed off her cleavage.

Many parents said that it's inappropriate to wear that kind of dress to school for pick-up.

Parents wrote in the comments of her photo saying she "shouldn't have worn that dress" and she should "cover her boobs."

Bella said she felt embarrassed and that it wasn't fair to target her.

She explained to Caters News that ever since she got a boob job, moms have been extra judgmental. She said she's trying to create a new conversation about being a mother. “As soon as I got a breast augmentation I was viewed differently by most of the other mums," she said.

“As soon as I got a breast augmentation I was viewed differently by most of the other mums," she said.

"Being a mum doesn’t mean you have to give up your whole self being."

"I am trying to create awareness about that."

Other parents also make rude assumptions about what kind of mother she is.

She said, “Someone said to me that they’d rather spend their money on their children."

"But just assuming I don’t spend my money on my kids is ridiculous."

Bella said she loves her kids and she knows they love her, too.

“My children love me the way I am."

"If I was to change my appearance then I wouldn’t be their mum — I wouldn’t be me."

And, she wouldn't change a thing.

Facebook l BellaTrixia

“My kids think that I am the best person on the planet; they look at all the other mums and they wonder why they’re not like me.”

Parents need to think before judging other moms and what type of parent they are.

Just because someone looks different than you, that doesn't make them a bad mother.

Hopefully, this story inspires other parents to set a good example for their kids online.

Kids imitate what they see, so lead by example and keep the mean comments to yourself.
