85-Year-Old Grandmother Says She Loves Using Tinder To Hook Up With Young Guys

At 85, Hattie Retroage is having as much fun with her life as she ever has, and maybe even more, thanks to Tinder.

She says she uses the dating app to hook up with younger men three times a week, and she asserts that she's never been rejected by a younger man.

Hattie was married for over 25 years and had two kids with her ex-husband.

They divorced back in the '80s, when Hattie was in her 50s.

It was a pretty average break-up of a marriage.

"When the children went off to college, a lot of the dynamics broke down, so we got divorced," she explained to Barcroft TV. "I missed the intimacy and the sexuality and the orgasms."

At first, she tried to find another life mate, and the process left her heartbroken.

"The emotional side was bad," she said. "I would cry...I screw, I sleep with, I make love with many men and not one of them has said, 'I want you for my life.'"

Two things turned Hattie's life around: a new attitude, and younger men.

She says that cutting out emotional attachments around dating was a revelation. "That was great and it pretty much worked for me," she said. "I'm not agonizing. I'm grateful that at this age and this stage that I have as many lovers as I want."

That, and dating outside of her own age group helped her tremendously.

"I love younger men because they are in the middle of an achievement, of a goal, there's the excitement of creating."

Of course, that's not all she loves about men of the 21st Century.

"Younger men, they get off on getting a woman off," she said. "Very different from when I was younger."

Modern dating apps make a huge difference too.

Her Tinder bio reads, "Hattie, 83, fascinating older beauty. Seeking a steady younger friend/lover for a shared life of adventure and passion. No pro-Trump and no players."

Over her first eight months on Tinder, Hattie says she's met 50 men.

The youngest of them was 19, although Hattie insists that he led her to believe he was older.

Although the idea will have occurred to many out there, Hattie rejects the label of "cougar."

"Cougars, as I see them," are not beasts of prey, they are an exquisite animal. I'm never on the prowl. I never approach a man, men always approach me."

Hattie says her kids are split on their opinions of her love life.

She says her daughter, Rama, 55, supports her lifestyle and her openness about her sexuality, but her son, Josh, 59, isn't quite so happy about it.

"My son Josh and his wife hate it."

She told the Daily Mail: "They have two sons who are in college, and they won't let them read my work about sex."

Still, Hattie's not about to let anything slow her down — rather, she's hoping to inspire more women to embrace a life like hers.

"My life goal is to change the awful, decrepit view of aging — view and experience, and turn it into something exciting, a life-loving adventure," she said. "The depth of life, you can't avoid. But the shallowness of good sex, that's what is good enough for me."
