Fans Think That Post Malone Discovered Ozzy Osbourne

You guys...this is so cringe.

Ozzy Osbourne joined Post Malone on a track for his new album. That's pretty cool, right? Sure!

His fans, however, apparently had no idea who Ozzy was...and thought Post Malone discovered him.

Please say this is a joke.

Post Malone's new album dropped September 6th.

The album, called Hollywood's Bleeding, is already a hit.

He has a bunch of interesting collaborations on the album. The track we're talking about not only features Ozzy, but Travis Scott, as well.

Some fans didn't know who Ozzy was.

So, given that they're probably young, some fans had no clue that Ozzy is a rock legend.

Or maybe they were trolling. I'm gonna hope they were trolling, because the internet ran really far with this joke.

(Edd had a hard time after that tweet.)

This is entirely unrelated, I just am so about that cat reaction image right now. I'm laughing as I type this.

Just let him sit at the table like the person he thinks he is!!!

Aw, how nice of Post!

Augie later revealed that, yeah, he knew who Ozzy was.

This means he did it for the clout, which it looks like a lot of people did.

That doesn't mean they aren't still hilarious.

Some reactions were wholesome.

See, this is the kind of attitude I like to see in fan communities.

People who welcome new fans into their circles and don't blame them for not knowing something are good people.

People could not process not knowing who Ozzy is.

10/10, great Spongebob meme use.

A lot of people were super ashamed of their own generation for not knowing who Ozzy is. I personally don't get how they missed out on the Osbournes' reality show.

This person really ended all other millennials.

Guys, even if you never watched The Osbournes, surely you saw when Jackson impersonated him on Hannah Montana.

For those who truly don't know who he is: did you or did you not recognize him from this? Let me know.

People quickly picked up on the joke.

One of my favorite internet trends is when people post a super obvious joke and watch other people miss it entirely.

The replies to that tweet? Chef's kiss worthy. So good. So fresh.

Ozzy fans were just as embarrassing, y'all.

Twitter

"This Post guy" took me out.

You can't fall for the outrage while also demonstrating the exact same cluelessness.

These jokes just write themselves at this point. But keep going, Twitter, this is gold.

Okay, this is tea.

This one feels the most authentic. Ozzy so does not know what's going on in the world.

Tbh, I'm kinda surprised he knew who Post Malone was. Kelly had to have told him, right?

(Nah, he's cool, he totally knew.)

I forgot Ozzy did that.

You know what I'm taking away from all of this? That Ozzy is going to have a whole bunch of new fans who are all going to relive the experience of watching him bite the head off of a bat.

Man, that poor bat.

I love the internet.

Anyway, so the episode of Hanna Montana where Jackson impersonates Ozzy is "We're So Sorry Uncle Earl." (Season 2, Episode 22.)

In case you want to be in on the joke, there it is.

See, "Osbournes" memes!

Does anyone remember that show? Or how iconic it was when he would yell, "Sharon!" in that very specific way that we would all repeat?

They need to bring that show back.

I love the word "youngins."

Shoutout to Ozzy for still kickin' it in 2019, despite doing all the aforementioned drugs known to man.

Here's hoping his fans also like Post's music. What an unexpected mashup of people.

Anyway, Ozzy said he had a great time on the track.

Post Malone recounted being told about the recording session to Apple Music:

"[...] he was like this, 'Yo, this is my favorite that I’ve done since, you know, Sabbath, and since I started my own, own way.' I was like, ‘That’s huge. I’m like honored. Thank you very much.'"
