Dad Accidentally Sends Son To School With Wife's Menstrual Cup For 'Show And Tell'

Does anyone else remember show and tell day? It was a chance to bring in something cool and share it with your class. Usually, it was a learning experience for everyone, and for one dad who recently made a hilarious mistake, he learned an important lesson, too.

When mom is away, it can be a whole different dynamic at home while dad's in charge.

Recently, one dad turned to Reddit to share how he hilariously and accidentally messed up when it came to his son's show and tell presentation.

The story begins when the dad noticed his son playing with a, "little silicone cup that kinda looked like a tulip."

Thinking it was part of a toy, the dad didn't think anything of it.

It quickly became a favorite toy.

"...over the next few days it helped the Paw Patrol save the town, it was a treasure chest holding tiny pebbles guarded by pirates, a force field protecting a space ship," the dad said.

It even accompanied the father and son while they ran errands.

"It came with us to the park, grocery shopping, and even out to dinner one night," he said.

Then came show and tell day...

Of course, the son just had to bring in his new-found cup to show the class, and dad didn't think anything of it.

That is, until his son's teacher approached him after school.

Awkwardly, the teacher began to explain that his son had brought it a menstrual cup for show and tell.

To make matters worse, the dad had no idea what she was talking about.

"Teacher notes my confusion: it’s um, used to collect menstrual blood...

I’m still confused...

Teacher: it uh, goes inside, and uh...collects blood

Me: It just...stays in there?"

Anyone else cringing at this interaction.

Soon after the talk with his son's teacher, the dad told his wife what happened.

"My wife laughed hysterically when we told her. My son is none the wiser and is having a tea party with the cup right now," he said.

Oh, boy. I hope he got his wife a replacement cup because I'm sure she won't want to use one that helped the Paw Patrol save the day.
