Dog The Bounty Hunter Diagnosed With Pulmonary Embolism: 'I'm Not Afraid To Die'

Just three months after Beth Chapman's death, Duane "Dog The Bounty Hunter" Chapman is now facing some serious medical issues of his own.

It was only back in June that Duane lost his wife, Beth, after a long battle with stage II throat cancer.

Her passing hit the family hard.

In one interview with Entertainment Tonight, Duane admitted that he had lost 17 pounds since her passing two weeks prior, as he hadn't been able to eat.

Months later, we learned that Duane was hospitalized after suffering a 'heart emergency'.

After his release, Duane said that he suffered from a "broken heart".

Duane visited "The Dr. Oz Show" to share the latest update on his health.

We have now learned that he has a pulmonary embolism in the heart.

“You’re a ticking time bomb,” Dr. Oz states.

"You’re not going to be here with the heart the way it is right now," he said.

"Fear of death is normal. I’m surprised you don’t fear death when you’re chasing after convicts," he went on.

"But when you run away from doctor, that means you have to do your own doctoring."

"I hesitated for a minute thinking, I don’t want to have to go through this again,” Duane tells People Magazine.

"I don’t want to die right now. I’m not afraid to die anymore, but I really didn’t care for awhile if something would happen. I do care now," he revealed.

Duane is now on blood thinners, a healthy diet, and seems to be on the road to recovery.

"Once this goes away, I am 100 percent. I’ve had fears. The blood clot is not a normal thing but it happens a lot, but I’m going to be 100 percent. I’m encouraged by it," he said.

We're rooting for, you Dog!
