Ones that hopefully will never fall for the same scam that their parents hilariously did...
It's that you should never purchase boat ride tickets to see the Statue of Liberty from a complete rando on the street.
The same goes for things like concert tickets.
The actor then took to Instagram to share his unique experience.
"We buy the tickets for the 'boat tour' of the Statue of Liberty. We are escorted to a shuttle bus."
"Kid you not," Alec wrote. "We paid. Then we read the tickets. NO ON EVER MENTIONED NEW [expletive] JERSEY!!!
And, it was free!
See, that's another thing New Yorkers know: if you take the Staten Island Ferry, you get a great view of the Statue of Liberty!
The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmit actress couldn't help but laughing (a lot) at the experience.
Maybe the fam could have met the cast of Jersey Shore!
