On an otherwise normal Tuesday, with travelers gathered waiting for their train, a person in line for the train appeared to pass out.

As they lost consciousness, they knocked an unsuspecting woman next to them onto the tracks.

With the train about to pull into the station, the other commuters on the platform started waving frantically.

Screaming and hoisting their bags in the air, they managed to get the attention of the train's driver in the nick of time.

Just a few feet from where the woman lay on the tracks, the train came to a stop.

"She owes life to God, not to me," Roxana Flores, the train's operator, told La Nacion. "But the fast reaction was important. I think there was a divine force that helped because if she had fallen like a second later, I wouldn't have been able to reach the brake."

With the train stopped, the other commuters were able to lift the woman off the tracks.

Both she and the man who fainted and knocked her onto the tracks were treated by paramedics and are expected to recover fully.
