As our young ones go through rites of passage on the sports fields, parents go through rites of passage of their own on the sidelines, often roughing it to cheer on their kids in less than ideal circumstances. You bring a hot cup of coffee with you, but after it has lost its warmth, you're left with nothing but time and out in the elements while the kids run and pass and kick and all that.
But just because you have to be there for your little ones doesn't mean you have to suffer, at least, not anymore.
