Hamilton star Miguel Cervantes, who took over the titular role in the hit Broadway musical from Lin-Manuel Miranda, recently had to say goodbye to his 3-year-old daughter Adelaide after her lifelong fight with epilepsy.
Cervantes' wife Kelly posted this photo of Adelaide's room alongside the following caption: "The machines are off. Her bed is empty. The quiet is deafening. Miss Adelaide Grace left us early Saturday morning."
"We love you so much Adelaideybug and forever after."
“I think she’s dancing and smiling right now,” Cervantes said.
"The room felt packed with love."
"I’m giving myself a pass this week and acknowledging that there is nothing I can say on this page that is going to make any of this better," she wrote.
"No amount of flowers, food, alcohol or words can fill it and to be entirely honest, right now I don’t want them to.”
"The first time I saw @hamiltonmusical was September 2015 with Miguel by my side and the original Broadway company on the stage. Adelaide was heavy in my belly as I squished into the narrow seats at the Richard Rodgers Theater 8 months pregnant," his wife wrote on her Instagram.
