Artist Imagines What All Animals Would Be Like With Cat Faces And It's Creepy-Cute

"Photoshopping" is often used as a term of derision and it's true that a lot of faked images have caused strife in the last couple of decades. But let's not forget the incredible silliness Photoshop has provided us with in the same period.

For example, the works of the artist behind "Koty Vezde" ("Cats are Everywhere"). The concept is simple: she takes an image of an animal (or object) and gives it a feline face.

Yet for all of its simplicity, the results are gloriously creepy and cute.

The real genius lies in how she picks the perfect face to match the animal.

You do not want to mess with this cat-cub. It clearly means business and won't allow for any belly rubs.

The squirrel is pretty darn cute!

My hypothesis is that the closer the animal looks to a cat, the less creepy it is. A squirrel has the long fluffy tail and isn't quite so off-putting.

In comparison to a mash-up like this one.

Which is still pretty cute, but also starts falling over into the creepy side of the spectrum. Cat's shouldn't have fins. It's weird.

The snail works pretty well, though, which kind of pokes holes in that theory.

I love how the color of the cat and its eyes match so well with the snail shell. It makes for a pretty seamless effect.

This one definitely feels creepy to me, and yet...

It's also so chubby and sad and I want to give it so many hugs and snuggles.

Which I'd probably regret.

It's a little harder to blend fur into feathers, but she gets it done.

The birds definitely cross the line into creepy for me. I think it's the lack of neck.

See? This cat-bird understands.

I'd be pretty freaked out too if I was suddenly a hybrid between a bird and a cat. Natural enemies forced to live together in the same body!

My sister had a chinchilla for a while and I loved it so much.

Seriously, it was the sweetest pet she ever had, but the dust it needed to bathe in turned out to be bad for asthma and it needed to be rehomed.

This is a pretty cute mash-up.

The bunnies she had were evil, though.

Cute, but evil.

Still, I'd have trouble staying mad at this Bun Bun Kitty.

Okay, I cackled at this one.

This reminds me much more of the attitude of those rabbits and I just love it. So evil. So cute.

This is another one that's almost seamless.

It's pretty cute, but the glossy black eyes are kind of unnerving. So I guess it straddles the creepy-cute line.

This cat-squirrel looks like a mob boss.

"Bring me the acorns or I'll send you to the bottom of the storm drain in cement booties!"

The panda is another one where the mash-up really works for me.

Instagram | @koty_vezde

Maybe it's because that's the look cats usually give humans that walk in on them when they've got their legs in the air for a cleaning.

And we just found the one that's 100% creepy.

Instagram | @koty_vezde

I'm not anti-hairless cat. They can be kind of ugly-cute and great companions, but there is just way too much nope in this mash-up.

Here's a palate cleanser.

This is all about that little blep. This is the cutest of the bunch and I will not listen to any arguments against it.
