Man Braves The Cold To Take His Paralyzed Dog To The Park In A Wagon

Love is a challenging emotion because we all feel it strongly and by instinct, but we don't always know how to express it appropriately, going just by instinct. That's one of the areas where dogs have us beat. Dogs just know how to love. It's what they do.

And if we're paying attention, they can teach us a thing or two about love.

Bryan Thompson was just walking through Shubie Park in Dartmouth, Massachusetts on a crisp, cold day, when he encountered some pure love.

As he posted on Facebook, he randomly came across a man pulling his best friend, bundled up and tucked in against the frosty temperatures, in a wagon.

They chatted briefly, and the man explained that his dog couldn't walk anymore.

She had a canine condition similar to ALS, degenerative myelopathy, leaving her unable to get around under her own power. Despite the cold, they were clearly determined to get out and enjoy the park.

Bryan told the man that many people wouldn't have done that for their dog.

"He just said that she would do the same for him and kept trucking," Bryan wrote.

If that isn't the sweetest thing ever.

The man let Bryan take a few pics, and clearly the encounter stayed with him, too.

"It's hard to write this without tearing up," Bryan wrote. Hard to read without tearing up, too.

"This guy deserves a huge dog kiss for his love of his dog."
