18 Customer Habits That Are Sure To Annoy Subway Employees

The holidays are a busy time for everyone. There is so much gift shopping to do and, of course, scouring the aisles for Christmas decor.

So when you're in a rush, you might find yourself at Subway jonesing for a freshly made sandwich. I don't blame you, ha, ha! But there are a few things you need to keep in mind before you drive the Subway employees crazy. Okay? Let's go.

1. This Messy Request

Seriously, people, if you ask for every single type of veggie and sauce toppings, don't expect your sandwich to look like the advertisement. Once you open it, the picture on the right is what you should expect, alright?

2. This Forgetful Person

Just when you thought this order was done, you get the ultimate surprise. Now, this person decided they want a brand new sandwich when they reach the register, and you're about to scream from the inside out. OMG, no!

3. This Friendly Reminder

Here's something you should keep in mind when you order a 6-inch sub: It starts off as a 12-inch, and they cut it in half. I thought everybody knew that? Why is this not common knowledge?

4. This Last Minute Order

I know this is the holiday season, and you might be craving cookies but think about it before you order 20 of them 30 minutes before closing. This employee had to make a new batch just for this customer.

5. This Thoughtful Customer

Have you ever had a customer not make it to the door before closing? Well, how about when they do make it, and it's literally one minute before, huh? I bet you absolutely love the fact that you still have to make them a sandwich.

6. This Complaint

Okay, here's the thing: If your online delivery order is late, don't call Subway to complain. Yes, get on the phone and call the delivery service instead. These Subway employees have no control over how fast or slow your delivery gets to your door. Get it?

7. This Lazy Inquiry

There is a sign right in front of the ordering area where this is posted. But every day and every hour, without a fail, people ask, "What kind of bread do you have?" Um, it's right there in front of your eyes.

8. This Fast Order

Subway employees know that you're hungry and want your sandwich fast. But don't start spewing ingredients faster than they can grab them, or it will mess them up, alright? If you talk at the speed of light, this isn't going to work out.

9. This Order Request During Rush Hour

It goes without saying that the worst order you can make during rush hour is a salad. And then when you order four of them, you pretty much ruined this employee's whole day. So no, don't do it.

10. This Juggling Act

The next time you get annoyed that your order is taking forever, keep this in mind. The employee serving you is probably juggling 10 other things at the same time, so have some compassion. Will you?

11. This Interrupted Break

It must really suck when you're the only person working at Subway ready to make yourself a sandwich and in walks a happy-go-lucky customer. You probably want to throw that sandwich right at them, right? I don't blame you at all.

12. This Expired Coupon Situation

Okay, I have to admit I have shown up at fast-food restaurants with an expired coupon and hoped they wouldn't catch it. My bad! But it's not my fault they always expire so fast. But then again, it's not the employees' fault either, huh?

13. This Sad Assumption

Don't you just hate when a regular customer sees you at work day in and day out and pretty much assumes you must live there? The worst part is that you know they're right. Aww!

14. This Moment

Oh no! It's that moment when you're trying to rush, and the customer is right there starring at you, and your hands are starting to sweat, and you can't put your gloves on. The pressure is definitely on, my man.

15. This Usual Behavior

Haha, I bet every Subway employee loves that one. And I'm sure they hear it at least a few times a week. I don't frequent fast-food joints that often, so I could never pull this one off, lol.

16. This Lunch Order

This is what happens when you suddenly receive an order of 255 boxed lunches. Yikes! Wow! I would hate to be part of the team that day, lol. I wonder how long it took them to prepare this. Any guesses?

17. The Horizontal Cut

First of all, I don't understand what I'm looking at here. Apparently, this is what the employees call the "horizontal cut," and they absolutely hate it. Who is the monster that requests that? Imagine cutting a meatball sandwich like this. Ugh!

18. This Order Before Closing

OMG, what the heck is that? I'll tell you what it is. It's an order that a Subway received 30 minutes before closing. And now the employees are surely going to have to stay behind to finish it off. Not cool at all.

Hear me out, guys.

The next time you get peeved off at a Subway employee, take a long breath and exhale. Then think about the situation and what they might be going through. It's better to be nice than to ruin someone's day, so what do you say?
