Barack And Michelle Obama Share Romantic Anniversary Messages

In recent years, Twitter users have learned to expect to see certain posts whenever October 3 rolls around. Obviously, they'll have noticed how excited people are for Halloween, but a couple of other sights are more specific to the day.

But as nice as it is to remember that time when Lindsay Lohan said "It's October 3rd" in Mean Girls, there's one that's a little more wholesome.

At this point, we can essentially count on former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama to send each other wholesome messages on their special day and this year has proved to be no exception.

And today's declarations of love may be the most heartwarming yet.

Although the Beatles' catalog is filled with romantic odes, Barack chose to reference one that's not usually associated with love.

As he tweeted out, "Like the Beatles said: It’s getting better all the time. Thanks, babe, for 27 amazing years!"

I guess that speaks more to the longevity of their relationship than the Beatles songs that celebrated young love.

This message was accompanied by a photo of the couple adorably embracing while watching a lovely sunset.

As far as The Daily Mail could surmise, this was taken while the two were on a trip to Africa, but a more specific location was difficult to determine.

For her part, Michelle took the moment to reminisce about the path they took to get where they are.

As she wrote, "27 years ago, this guy promised me a life full of adventure. I’d say he’s delivered."

And she suggested that their adventures together were far from over.

She went on to say, "Here’s to our next chapter of becoming empty nesters and discovering what’s next—while still feeling the magic that brought us together all those years ago. Happy anniversary, Barack."

She also chose an image with a beautiful sunset in the background, but this time, it seems she and Barack were more interested in looking at us.

Between the shot in Africa and this charming lakeside scene, it seems the Obamas are very good at choosing the right atmosphere to convey how cozy and intimate their love has been.
