The one that got away... or did they? In a new interview for Goop, founder Gwyneth Paltrow, and Brad Pitt, revealed that they still have love for each other.

The exes dated from 1994 to 1997 and were even briefly engaged.

Although they didn't work out, the Iron Man actress did find the next best thing: the Brad Pit she was "supposed to marry" AKA her husband, Brad Falchuk.

Gwyneth has always made it clear that she has "no bad blood" with her exes.

She made these comments in a 2020 interview with Harper's Bazaar. She's still close with her ex-husband, Chris Martin, and even gushes over Chris's girlfriend, Dakota Johnson.

Brad can't exactly say the same, as he went through high-profile splits with his famous exes, Jennifer Aniston and Angelina Jolie.

The actor's relationship with Gwyneth was much more low-key.

They met on the set of Se7en where they played a doomed couple. When Brad won a Golden Globe for 12 Monkeys in 1996, he reserved his final thank you for Gywneth.

"Especially the love o' my life, my angel, Gwyneth Paltrow."

The pair then got engaged and practically morphed into one another with their signature '90s style, matching golden hair, and blue eyes. They would go on to split in 1997.

After their split, Paltrow went on to marry Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in 2003.

The pair were married for over a little over 10 years and had two children together, Apple and Moses. The pair famously "consciously uncoupled" in 2014.

Meanwhile, Brad married Jennifer Aniston in 2000.

While Gwyneth found love with the man she married after Chris — Brad Falchuk, whom she married in 2018 —Pitt's marriage to his next love, Angelina Jolie, didn't work out. The actress filed for divorce in 2016.

Since Brad and Gwyneth ended on good terms, they've had nothing but good things to say about each other.

Like when Paltrow told Diane Sawyer, "I'm so lucky that I spent time with Brad, somebody who was such a good person!"

Or when the exes recently reunited for Gwyneth's Goop website.

While promoting Brad's new clothing brand, God's True Cashmere, they took the time to reminisce. It was Paltrow, who brought up the topic of her late father Bruce, who died in 2002.

According to her, he approved of Brad and was looking forward to having him as a son-in-law.

"Though we didn't get married, unfortunately," Gwyneth told Brad. "Right," the actor replied with a laugh. "Oh man, everything works out, doesn't it?"

"Yes, it does. I finally found the Brad I was supposed to marry," Gwyneth said.

"It just took me 20 years," joked Paltrow, referring to her husband, Brad Falchuk. "And it's lovely to have you as a friend now," Brad said, causing the actress to agree. "It is."

"And I do love you," Pitt added.

"And you guys were so funny together, ripping across the table, which was a rarity that I hadn't experienced much, and I loved it. The fun you guys had was infectious. You could just see just how much he adored you."
