I don't know about you, but I usually get a little blue during this time of the year. As we're transitioning from warm summer weather to colder and crispier days it can be hard to adjust.
Many of us also suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder) and it's essential to keep your spirits high so you don't fall into a tough time. That's why I wanted to share with you a few pictures that will brighten your day a little more. I hope you take the time to enjoy it.
Aww, look at that. This little boy beat cancer (Stage IV NB) and finally made it to Fenway park with his dad in time to see the Red Sox win. The father said it was the happiest day of his life. Isn't this the sweetest thing you've seen all day?
Speaking of happy kids, here's a moment any parent can be proud of, alright. According to the parent, this kid busted his butt for four years and almost quit but persevered and got his black belt anyway. What a great accomplishment, eh?
And speaking of accomplishments, this lady definitely has something special to smile about here. She's a self-taught baker who's now on her way to making delicious treats for everyone. Oh, my goodness. Good for her. I can't bake to save my life, hehe.
This teacher shared one of his fears with his class the other day. You see, he's petrified of hammerhead sharks. So to make him feel better about that, his students dressed up like the feared creatures. Haha! I can see it put a smile on this man's face and made his day.
Who here is obsessed with Halloween? I'm the first one to admit it. But have you ever figured out a way to repurpose that Halloween decoration and slide it right into Christmas? This person did, and I, for one, really appreciate their effort.
This 75-year-old man just won his age category in the PGH 10-mile run. The smile on his face says it all, eh? Heck, I don't think I could have accomplished something like this, so I'm quite impressed by this.
Here's one thing you need to know about animals. They don't like to go to the vet, especially cats. So this supportive pawrent wanted to make sure his little guy felt okay and shared a sweet moment together. Aww, this melts my heart.
Speaking of pets, what do you think of this picture here? Apparently, these two Pensacola police officers spent an hour chasing after this runaway pig. I think this guy or gal gave them ta run for their money, haha!
Okay, I can spend all day looking at adorable animal pictures, so I couldn't resist sharing this cute moment here. These eight rescue dachshunds are all tucked in and ready for bed while the cat supervises, hehe. Isn't this so precious, or what?
Check out this nice note a teacher sent home with a child. It's great to know there are teachers out there who really care. We definitely need more people like this in the world. Do you agree with me on this?
This awesome family had an adoption reveal photoshoot for their adopted 13-year-old. It looks like they all had a ton of fun and even captured the quintessential teenage eye-roll, haha. How cute is that, huh? Awe, good on them. Am I right?

Don't you love it when people don't take their holiday decor seriously? Aha! Those are my kind of people, haha. So I couldn't help but chuckle when I saw this funny decoration here. Where are those neighbors when you need them, eh?
This little best man was so happy that his dad finally married his long-time girlfriend that he couldn't hide his excitement. I bet it was the couple's favorite picture captured from this day. It's the kind of moment they will cherish forever, that's for sure.

Just when you think there is no hope for society, you capture such a candid moment on the subway. A man bottle-feeding a kitten is the sweetest thing I have seen all day. This is the cutest thing ever, no?
I know a few people whose parents suffer from dementia, and I know how hard it is for them to deal with it. So when I saw that there is a village in the Netherlands especially built for folks with this condition, I was very intrigued. They act out their normal life while being monitored and assisted by caregivers in disguise. Wow!
