13 Irrelevant Tattoo Designs People Are Stuck With Forever

I have to admit I, too, have been swayed by tattoo trends. Thankfully, I'm the kind of person who overthinks everything, and therefore I never ended up with that SpongeBob tattoo on my leg, hee-hee.

But it seems that some people are much more spontaneous than me, and they just went for it only to regret it later. Here are some examples of passe tattoos we are all glad we didn't get.

1. This Harambe Tattoo

Many of us mourned the death of Harambe the gorilla, but it still doesn't mean you should get him tattooed on your arm. Imagine all the questions this guy will get when he is 60-years-old, ha, ha!

2. This Gangnam Style Tat

I still remember where I was when I first heard "Gangnam Style." It sure was popular. However, it's not something that people will think of when time goes on. But I guess this person will.

3. This Constant Reminder

This is the type of tattoo somebody would get if they're making a joke at the fact tattoos are permanent. Am I right? The only thing is, the joke's on them. Although, it's kinda cute, no?

4. This Take On A Popular Meme

As much as I dislike popular trend tattoos, I must admit this one is so well-done, huh? This coughing cat meme tattoo might not be my first choice, but it's definitely better than some of the other designs on this list.

5. This Ultimate Revenge

If your parents ever warned you about getting a tattoo, you'll get the irony here. My parents were never too strict, so I didn't need to rebel. But if I had to, I'm not sure I would go this particular way.

6. This 'Tiger King' Masterpiece

I don't know about you, but I never got into Tiger King. I just don't get the appeal. This person, on the other hand, must be a die-hard fan. Otherwise, why go through all the pain for this tattoo here?

7. This 'Dat Boi' Trend

People, trends come and go, but a tattoo is permanent unless you want to suffer years later trying to get it off your skin. I don't know about this one. I bet it seemed like a good idea at the time, lol.

8. This Relevant One

Honestly, I had to look this one up because I had no idea what it originated from ha, ha! And now that I know, I still don't care about it. So why a tattoo, though? Anyone?

9. This 'Forbidden Fruit' Challenge

Why on earth would somebody get this tattooed on their leg? This was a stupid idea from the get-go and even worse tattoo choice if I've ever seen one. Do you get what I'm saying? Um, no!

10. This Brilliant Idea

I don't know about you, but I don't want to remember the COVID era. I grew up in communist Poland, so lining up for toilet paper isn't anything new to me, but I still wouldn't get this tattooed on my skin.

11. This 'Pickle Rick' Idea

I've got to confess something I've never actually watched Rick and Morty. Shocking, I know. It's just not my thing. Can you relate to this? Or are you always on top of the latest animated shows?

12. This Mish-Mash

Ah, ha, ha. People don't seem to realize that there's something called subtlety. Which I translate to "less is more." Obviously, this girl doesn't get it, and so she ended up with this mish-mash of a tattoo here featuring all the "basic" girl tattoo trends.

13. This 'Table Cat' Tat

I have to confess I absolutely love "table cat." I think this meme is hilarious to boot, ha, ha! So even though I don't know how it will stand the test of time, I do dig it a lot.

Let me ask you: what's the verdict?

Are meme tattoos a good idea or not? What's your opinion on this subject? For me, I go for classic and timeless concepts. At least you know those won't have people scratching their heads later, hehe.
