Paul Rudd Claims His Wife Would Have Picked Keanu Reeves For Sexiest Man Alive

Paul Rudd was recently announced a People Magazine's Sexiest Man Alive — I mean, everyone on Earth surely knows this by now, right?

However, when he was recently asked about the honor having been bestowed upon him, Rudd responded in a typically delightful way because...well, he's Paul Rudd and that's what he does!

When Rudd was asked about being the sexiest man alive, he made a stunning confession about his wife's reaction to the news.

Speaking while at the premier of the new Ghostbusters film which he features in, Rudd told Extra that his wife was stunned by the news he had been crowned sexiest man alive.

However, it also came out that his Rudd's wife Julie Yaeger may have voted for someone else in the award!

Rudd joked that his wife would have voted for Keanu Reeves instead of him for the award.

"She would have voted for Keanu Reeves [over me]. Come on, he's Keanu, I'd vote for him," Rudd told the outlet when asked if he thought his wife would have voted for him.

However, Yaeger did eventually confess that the competition had clearly got it right in the end.

"[Julie] was very sweet about it," Rudd was also quoted as saying in relation to the award. "After some giggling and shock, [Julie] said, 'Oh, they got it right.' And that was very sweet. She was probably not telling the truth, but what's she going to say?"

Amazingly, Reeves has never received the prestigious award!

For most people it is a constant source of amazement that Reeves has never received the honor.

Reeves was actually up for the honor back in 1994, but there was ultimately not a winner crowned between the three front-runners: Reeves, Hugh Grant, and Jim Carrey.

However, a former People Magazine editor has since claimed that Reeves was closer to winning than the rest.

Jess Cagle, a former editor for People has since announced that Reeves would probably have won the award for 1994 if a winner had been decided upon.

Still, with Reeves' popularity only growing in recent years, there's still time for him to nab the award officially!
